About Rachel Amanda, Life Design CoachI’ve lost count of the number of times in my life conversations with acquaintances have ended with the woman saying “whew, I can’t believe I just shared all that with you!”

I think it’s because I’ve had more than my fair share of challenge in life, and have overcome mountains of adversity. Somehow, women can sense it and pour their heart out trusting in that energetic bond.

My life challenges are probably a lot like yours. Moving across the country (twice), marriage, birthing and raising a child, divorce, workplace harassment, unexpected job loss, financial stress, supporting family with life-threatening illness, just to name a few.

And so I know from personal experience how these challenges you encounter give an unexpected opportunity.  An opportunity to look at all of the parts of life, especially the parts that aren’t working the way you’d hoped, and to consciously make choices to live life intentionally.  To lead life where you want it to be, instead of surrendering yourself to your circumstances.

It hasn’t always been easy to live life intentionally.  In the challenging times, I often found myself wandering aimlessly through my days, not feeling inspired by my work or my life, watching it all pass by in a blur.  Desperately wanting something more, something better, something that made me feel vital and alive in every moment of every day.

But I believed it was possible to love my life…all of the parts of my life.  To love the work I do, to love my relationships with family and friends. To love what I chose to do outside of work. To love myself. Every. Single. Day.

I was determined to figure out how to make it happen.

And so I did.

I’ve married, had a child (who I love more than I thought possible), and divorced in a way that let me retain my deep friendship with my ex-husband. I’ve found a new partner who challenges me every day to be the fullness of who I am and who loves me to the depths of my core.  I’ve built friendships and social networks in my community and around the world.  I’ve explored my world and discovered hobbies and activities that bring me great joy. I’ve learned how to have fun.

Along the way, I learned that being clear about your purpose is just the start of the journey.  Quite honestly, feeling like you understand your life purpose is all well and good, but leading your life from that strong and centered purpose is way more important…and way more complicated.

I’ve learned that it will be a lifetime journey to continuously be discovering more and more of who I am – becoming the fullest expression of I AM.  I’ve learned the importance of recognizing my own value and what it takes to stand fully in my power and shout my value from the mountaintops for everyone to hear.  I’ve learned how important it is to understand my personal values and live my life so that my thoughts and actions are deeply aligned with those values.  I’ve learned about creating and holding a big, bold, juicy, audacious vision of my life so that I can be consciously creating what I want in every moment. I’ve learned to surround myself with people who inspire, motivate and uplift me, who will pick me up when I flounder rather than kicking me when I’m down. I’ve learned to set and hold boundaries so that I am a powerful authority in my own life, rather than letting life happen to me and playing the victim.  I’ve learned to create structure in my life that lets me be fully who I am, living how I want to live.

In short, I’ve learned to love myself and to love my life. All of this is the real work that is needed once you have some sense of purpose.  It’s the work that makes life meaningful and rich.  And it’s work that needs to happen. There’s no fairy godmother waving a magic wand to create the life you dream of once you have clarity on purpose. It’s got to happen in real time, in this 3D reality.  It’s up to you to create your own happily ever after.

My own journey of self-discovery absolutely informs the work I am called to do. Helping women like you to have your own clarity of purpose, and then to do this work in leading your life where you want it to be.  It’s powerful stuff that’s a whole lot of fun too.

With great love,
Rachel Amanda
